Although the Wendy’s advertisement of their “New Baconator” claims that it is extremely delicious and something you can’t handle because of its great taste, I will prove that the real thing is not like what the pictures says; I will do this by giving a little bit of information about the fast food industry, a little history from Wendy’s itself, and how life is behind the registers and inside the kitchen.
When people drive through the drive thru, they get a quick look at their menu and their pictures, they order what looks good to their eye, expecting it to actually taste good from its appearance. When they actually get the real thing, they may be very disappointed, because nothing that you get will actually look like the real picture. When you place your order, in your mind you are picturing that what you are about to receive is your looking just like the picture you saw; but when you actually get the real thing, it is a big disappointment, and when you are in a hurry you don’t mind and just eat it. For example, a famous Wendy’s dessert is the frosty, when you see it in the pictures it looks perfect it even has a swirl on the top, but when you actually get it, it look like chocolate milk. It’s sad but the truth, we as consumers have to be aware that we will never receive something that looks like the picture. We will always receive something that looks doesn’t look as appetizing as the picture. We know that this will always happen, no matter which fast food place you go to, therefore as consumers that will know what we will get and what we are paying for, we shouldn’t be disappointed with what we receive because it was under our own risk.

  1. I like how you started out describing the sandwich but also like how you tell how it is not all what it seems to be.

I also like how you talk about people ordering what they see on the picturen but not getting what you order.

I know i am guilty of ordering something and been disappointed when i get it because it do not look like the picture.

  2. I think you make a great point about how we actually are getting what we expect. Maybe the first time you got fast food you thought it was going to be how it was pictured, but now after consuming it multiple times you know your not getting the picture. Yet we still go and are still sometimes deflated by the reality. I used to love the Wendy's Frosty, but after this class and realizing that I can get better for not much more, my love has faded.

  3. I like how you mention the truth about how this ad how it does not look as good has is advertised to be because by looking at your ad I could see how easily it could attract consumers to buying it.
